Tara Hemeon First Strovis Character Counts Recipient for 2019-2020

Tara Hemeon, a junior at Georgetown High School, was honored as the Girls Tennis Team Character Counts Award Recipient during the teams annual banquet held November 5, 2019 in Georgetown, SC.   She represents the first Strovis Character Counts Award recipient for the 2019-2020 school year.  Tara was honored for displaying attentiveness, dependability, loyalty and punctuality Character Traits throughout the season.  The Georgetown High School girls tennis team coach, Grace George commented stating “she pays attention to the needs of her teammates and is willing to help anyone on the team. She is always on time and can be counted on to complete any task assigned. She is a great person and one that I would trust as a role model for my own four young children”.  Coach George also stated that Tara took on a big role this year on the varsity team.

The award was presented by Jenna Jordan, Strovis Holdings CEO and Mark Nash, VP GHS Booster Club.

The Strovis Character Counts program honors student-athletes who excel in their chosen sport, as well as in life. Students who hold strong character traits are selected for the award. They are nominated by members of the coaching staff.

Strovis partnered with the Georgetown High School Bulldogs Athletic Booster Club to create the awards program in the fall of 2017. The Booster Club remains a co-sponsor for the 2018-2019 school year.
